The warmth of goose down comforters

There is nothing like getting into bed on a cold winter’s night and snuggling under a goose down comforter.  But be careful because not all of them are equal in quality and durability.  If you have a goose comforter, it differs from duck as it usually has no order.  Down is used for insulation and loft in duvets and pillows and feathers are used for bulk and durability.

One of the things to look for when buying your goose down comforters is the fill power, or in other words, how fluffy it is.  The higher the fill power, the longer your duvet will likely last you.  Fill power actually means the space one ounce of fill occupies in a cubic inch.  800+ fill is super quality while 700+ is excellent.  When you move below 600, keep shopping.

Goose down comforters is warmer than duck or wool and are often lighter than any other natural bedding material.  It also insulates better than any other material of the same weight.  These duvets will keep you comfortable in a wide range of temperatures.  So if you are looking for a good night’s rest, you now know what to look for.
